چکیده

Porous tungsten oxide nanocrystalline thick film sensors are prepared for the sensitive detection of H2S gas. The sensor characteristics are investigated with respect to H2S sensing over a temperature range 100-225 0 C in air. Optimum operating temperature for H2S sensing is found to be 200 0 C. Sensor response is investigated for various concentrations and the lowest measurable concentration is found to be 7ppm. It is found that tungsten oxide based thick film sensor is a good candidate for H2S sensors with satisfactory response and recovery times. The sensing mechanism associated with H2S gas detection is also discussed. The prepared sensor is characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman spectroscopy and XPS.

Sensing Behavior Of CuO-Doped SnO2 Thick Film Sensor For H2S Detection

The effect of CuO doping on the electrical resistance and the sensitivity of thick film gas sensors based on CuOdoped (1%, 2% and 5% by wt.) SnO2has been investigated by us. A suitable gas sensor structure wasfabricated on 1 ̋x1 ̋ alumina substrate using thick film technology. The fabricated sensor‟s reaction with H2S gas (250 ppm-1000 ppm)was tested in the temperature range of 150350 ̊C. At 250 ̊C...

Improvement of H2S Sensing Properties of SnO2-Based Thick Film Gas Sensors Promoted with MoO3 and NiO

The effects of the SnO2 pore size and metal oxide promoters on the sensing properties of SnO2-based thick film gas sensors were investigated to improve the detection of very low H2S concentrations (<1 ppm). SnO2 sensors and SnO2-based thick-film gas sensors promoted with NiO, ZnO, MoO3, CuO or Fe2O3 were prepared, and their sensing properties were examined in a flow system. The SnO2 materials w...

Gas Sensing Performance of Pure and Cr2O3 Modified WO3 Thick Films

The thick films of Tungsten Oxide (WO3) were prepared by screen-printing technique. Gas-sensing performance of these films was tested for various gases. The pure films showed response to Hydrogen Sulphide, Ethanol, Oxygen, and Cigar smoke. The pure WO3 thick films were surface modified by dipping them into an aqueous solution of CrO3 for different intervals of time. Surface modification improve...
